Can i buy prepaid credit card from macys by using an macys gift card?
I really really doubt it. The money that was given to Macy's is already in their possession, as a prepayment for goods they sell. Since a Visa could be used elsewhere I'm not sure how they'd even switch that out, let alone agree with the loss.
However, I have heard of websites and things where you can swap gift cards and such for those you want. You might look into it.
why use you own credit or bank card whn this is more secure?

Yes, it should work exactly like a non prepaid credit card for purchases. The only obstacle that you may come across is if you try and use it as payment for for a subscription of some sort. But that depends on the payment policy set by the company. You may want to look into a PayPal account too.
