Are the online credit cards applications secure?

Recently I applied for a business credit card online. But now I am in fear that any body can access my information. Are the online credit cards applications secure?

If it has the little gold lock at the bottom of your screen when you are on the site, then it is secure. Otherwise, no, your information could be anywhere by now.

What does this message mean after I filled out a credit card application?

Thank you for giving Hooters MasterCard the opportunity to serve your financial needs. We are processing your application and you will be notified regarding its status within 7-10 business days.

I looked into it online and it sounds like most people who got denied, it said so right away.

Do you think theres a chance im approved?

Possibly. It can be from a lack of credit to simply their system can't find your info. That happened to me at Macy's; the letter I got told me it didn't have my address on file with Experian.

On the American Express card, who is that guy for their logo supposed to be?

He's wearing a helmet, looks sorta Greek. Is it supposed to be a Greek god?

That is a Trojan Worrier from ancient time. American Express is simply thinking that they are winning the battle against other credit card companies.

Will i go to prison for taking out a credit card in my friends name?

I was applying for a business credit card online, it came back declined and I was confused as to why it was declined, as i have reasonably good credit rating. anyway i thought that it way be a result of my appartment being blacklisted from the previous tenants, so i put in my flat mate's details just to see if it came back the same, to my supprise it came back approved... i should have just left it there but instead i went ahead with the application and got the card through with a limit of £7,500 and have been using it since, my flat mate has found the bill and now know, he has contacted the credit card people and explained the situation, he told me to call em, but im really realyl scared that i'm going to go to prison! i have lost my friends and my family not speaking to me and i never done anything like this before, i am so stupid and wish to god i didnt do it... i want to get it sorted but i am so scared what will happen.. i dont want to go to prison, does anybody have any advise? :(

What you have committed is identity theft. You knew what you were doing when you did it, but you thought you may get away with it, and were not thinking of the consequences that would occur when your friend found out. Now, you are in this pickle where you have to man up and do what your friend wants you to, which is call the credit card company.

Even if you don't call the credit card company, you may get into some legal hot water because you stole your friends identity and committed credit card fraud. If he told the credit card company what happened, they may forward it to the authorities in your area which may prosecute you.

  • Should Personally Guaranteed Business Credit Cards Appear on Your ...

This question of whether business credit cards which are personally guaranteed should appear on your credit report recently came up on our discussion boards . I myself have two business credit cards and each one is linked to my IRS-issued Employer Identification Number (EIN). However, each card also required me to give my personal Social Security Number.

The good news: neither credit card account appears on my credit report. What is the reason for this? It’s really difficult to find any documentation or reason anywhere on the internet, not even on the credit bureaus’ websites. Now I’m not complaining (really), as I don’t need the perfect paying history on these accounts to bolster my credit score (for the moment).
