Bp Credit Card

I have had one credit card that i pay off each month, but i was looking at the cash back credit cards and decided i wanted to ge the Chase freedom Card since i have always paid off my balance on time. SO i applied for it and it said i was approved and they will mail it to me. Then after 3 days i thought i could get a Chase BP visa card as well to use only for Gas. So i applied for that and it said they will respond to me within the 30 days by Law,,,which almost means i was denied.
I had few questions:
1- Does a credit card application deny affect credit history?
2-Can you apply for two credit cards in such a short period from the same bank (chase)?
3- Could my second application and deny affect the first application which i was approved for,,,like my affecting the credit line,,or reconsidering?

i got my first card its a green BP visa logo chase card. Ive read everything I have a 500 cred it line 500 cash available. Does this make it 1,000 total or only 500. Is this card only usable at BP or everywhere having the visa logo ?? thanks for the help

Your credit line is the total amount of credit available to you. The cash advance amount is the amount of your credit line that is available for cash advances. They are not separate. Your total credit line is 500.

If your card has a Visa logo, then you can use it anywhere Visa is accepted, even competing gas stations if you wish.

I had a card from Chase before and I was 30 days past due. I pay the debt off, and now I close the account. Now I am trying to see if I can get another one. I messed up bad, and now they are going to deny me another credit card. I have so many inquiries on my credit report. I messed up again.

I highly suggest not investing in credit cards. You don't need it. If you already have bad credit, no one is going to give you a card. And if they do, the interest will be so high that it's not even worth.

Live within your means. Don't spend money you don't have by using a credit card.

I am a college student and although I used to have a job in high school, I quit and haven't been working since I started college. I already have had a Capital One Visa for over a year (I pay my bill in whole every month) and would like to get either a BP or Speedway credit card to get discounts on gas. Both online forms require job information (or previous job if you are retired). Am I out of luck or is there something I can do?

I believe credit cards look at your credit such as your capital one credit. You can list your previous job as your reference. But I doubt they would deny you because you're unemployed. Try it.
