Best Canadian Credit Card

I discovered today that President`s choice master card offer $20 cash back after 20000 points.I wonder if there is any other Canadian credit card that can do better$

PC isn't bad, you get 10 points for every dollar spent and can redeem 1,000 points for one dollar after you've accumulated 20,000.

Example, if you spent $100 you will accumulate 1,000 points which can be redeemed for $1. Basically we're talking about a 1% cashback program here (possibly 1.5% - I'm not sure if it's an EXTRA 5% for shopping at Presidents Choice participating stores).

I like the Citi "Drivers Edge" card, which has 2% which can be put against the purchase of a new or used car.

or the Citi Petro-Canada card which offers $0.02 off every litre of fuel (when gas was below $1.00/L this was a better deal at about 2%, now it's closer to 1.5%).

There's also the Amex "BlueSky" rewards card which essentially offers 1.25% back on rewards, primarily focused on travel.

Shop around, decide what sort of rewards you are after. Just don't forget that at 1 or 2% you'll need to spend $100,000 to get that $1,000 or $2,000 in rewards, so its going to take a little while.

i mean...what do you do if you have a credit card from canada that has payments that need to be made...then you move to japan. How do you pay off the payments? can you move the debt from the canadian credit card to a japanese credit card? or can you continue to pay off the canadian card from japan?

First off, you can not transfer the balance to credit cards in Japan. There is no balance transfer service provided in japan.

Why don't you set up an online banking with your bank account and also online account statement with your credit card account? That way, you can look up your account anytime on the Internet and also send a payment using your online banking.

How and where can you get canadian credit card or loan with bad credit?

Each time you apply for a credit card you lose about 5 FICO points. I would advise not to apply for any new loan and credit card as you may be refused because of the bad credit and also lose 5 FICO points.Your best bet is to get a "secured" credit card and build your credit score. With Secure credit cards you have to make a term deposit and they will issue you credit card for the same credit limit. I would wait one year and improve my credit rating before applying for regular credit card.

Call your credit card company ask them their policy for foreign exchange rates. Typically, US credit card companies charge 3% of the transaction charge for foreign currency transactions. Also, keep in mind that you will also pay the exchange rate.
