Is anyone familiar with the First Premier Bank credit card? It is a credit card for people with bad credit and they say they report to the credit bureaus every month to help rebuild credit. Has anyone used them and if so does it work? They give you a $250 credit limit but with fees of $179 so your credit limit is only $71 at first. I have tried to get other cards but am denied. Please tell me if this card is legit.
They are a legitimate company but charge you fees for virtually everything you do. You would be better served to save up $300 and get a secured card from Bank of America, National City, US Bank or Orchard Bank
The first thing charged to your brand-new credit card should be something you like. Not an upfront annual fee. That's why for a limited time ...
I have recently received a credit card from them and I feel like it might not be the best idea to keep this card. I have read a few reviews and they were not positive about this bank. Does anyone have something good to say about this card? Should I keep it?
I had one they are ok if you have bad credit. They have higher interest rates and also I believe a high yearly fee. I really had nothing bad happen to me, It is expensive card, but its good to build up your credit. I have now that is much worse, Rewards 660! Dont ever sign up for it, they have no idea what they are doing. You might also want to try orchardbank.com they have pretty good rates and are easy to get approved for!

I have had the card for 6 mos and would like a credit increase - i have paid every payment two weeks before it was due, but i was one day late on the last payment. Do you think I will be approved? Or does being late one time for only a day put you on the "deliquent" list?
It's not good, but if you always pay you have a shot. Call and ask.
Your best bet is to just get rid of the card. You don't need it and it will only get you into trouble. Get a debit card.
im a college fresmen and I need to build up my credit, some people say try first premier bank, but the way they do it is weird, i think you have to keep adding money, does anyone know how it works?
First Premier is one of the worst credit cards you could get. They will load you down with fees so that you are almost maxed out by the time you even get the card!
Try to get a student card from a reputable bank like Discover or Citibank, or get a secured card. First Premier is the pits. Check out their website to get a listing of all the fees they charge and then decide whether you want to pay a fortune for a tiny bit of credit.

First Premier Bank Offer Credit Card with 79.9% APR…Wait, What ...
If it seems like someone has made a mistake, we assure you it’s not us. NBC San Diego news reported that First Premier Bank of Sioux Falls, SD, is offering a credit card that charges an interest rate of 79.9%. We would like to make the disclaimer and have it to be very clear that we are not promoting this as one of our better deals; however, we do think it would be interesting to our users to see just what lengths credit card companies have gone to to try and gain as much income before federal regulations put forth by the Credit Card Act of 2009 go into effect. There are only a few reasons we can think that a bank would actually offer a rate like this.
