I applied via mail for an Aspen credit card but cannot find it on any engine search

I am not sure which bank the lender is, and the website isn't that informative, it seems like a smaller lender. I would try to stay away from small lenders as they usually tend to charge higher interest rates and fees, and perhaps go with a larger institution.

This is a killer card! it actually kills your credit rating! Customer service is a killer! Payback is a killer! You get $350 in initial credit, charge less than $250, and end up having to pay $603? how is that possible? I am still trying to find out but all customer service reps are located in India and won't give info out unless you pay first! who can I turn to for help?

That's weird you're having trouble with your card, because I have one too, and it is building my credit. It isn't a secured card, but they do charge you an annual fee just to have the card, which I think is $150. So whether you use the card or not, it'll cost ya. Unfortunately, they are a small company, so they don't have as many features like Capital One, or Chase. I suggest making the minimum payment, and when you receive the next statement, review the charges. If they can't help you after the payment, pay the bill in full and cut it up, or better yet, freeze the card in a baggie full of water (to keep from spending unless you really have to and can wait for it to thaw out), but don't cancel the credit until one year, because it will reflet badly on your credit history.

What does that mean if i already have one. I have had it for over a year now. What is gonna happen to my card/account?still be active or deactivated?

Even if a credit card has been discontinued, they would still be active for you to use. If the card company, really want to close the shop, you'll get a letter in mail, giving you a sufficient time to make ur decision.

I usually go to my banks site and sign up for internet checking. Then I use that service to send a payment to the credit card company
