Please help me, How do I apply credit card?

I want to apply credit card, I never had credit card myself. So how do I apply it? And I do not work since I am stay at home mom of two boys but I do have SSI, Will it going be okay if I apply card no matter what if I don't work but have SSI?...And which credit card should I apply it?

You need a card if you want to build credit. Many people assume they will just pay in cash for everything, but that does not work when you are ready to own your own home or buy a new car. If you have not established credit yet you may be best off going for a secured card at first. This means that you will put down the amount of money your limit will be. Rule of thumb says that you should put down at least $300. If you have credit already you can probably get an unsecured card, however the credit industry is really tightening their belts right now. You can check out many different types of card, the APR, and the different rewards at creditcards.com. There will be a very simple form to fill out.

How to open check account and apply credit card if no income and credit score?

My wife has SSN, but no job and income. Is she eligible to open a checking account in the bank like Citi, and how? and as she has no credit score, can she even apply a credit card?
Thanks.

She can probably open a checking account but she will need a minimum deposit to get one. It can range from $5.00 on up depending as to what bank she goes through. As for a credit card I doubt that she will be able to get one now because of the economy and the fact that she has no income/no credit score. I would suggest that she wait on the card until she is employed for at least 6 months to a year before she even applies for one. By waiting her chances of getting one will be better for her than what they are now. Keep in mind that there are people with excellent scores and the banks are having there credit limit cut to half of what it was or they are even closing the accounts out due the economy. She would be better off to wait on the card.

Does Singapore banks that allow a 19 year old with annual income of $18000 to apply for Credit Card?

I have been searching online for details, but to no avail. Can Singapore banks allow a 19 year old with annual income of $18000, (might be more, that's is only for basic, but i have allowances, claims, overtime also) to apply Credit Card, instead of Supplementary Card .
Please some, advise.

I have looked at different Singaporean credit card offers, Visa and MasterCard, and I couldn't find an exception. It may be a law in Singapore that a credit card applicant needs to be 21 to apply for a credit card.

Requirements for RBS credit cards
• You must be between 21 & 65 years of age.
• Singapore Citizens & Permanent Residents: Minimum income is S$30,000 p.a.
• Foreigners: Minimum income is $60,000 p.a.

Requirements for HSBC credit cards
Applicants must have a minimum income of S$50,000 p.a. and be at least 21 years of age.

Questions about apply credit card or debit card in USA?

I just moved from my country to America as a boarding student. I' am 17 years old can i apply for a credit card or a debit card?? Im from thailand.
Thanks

You can if you have social security number, which I would assume you do since u r a student here.. You can apply but you will have very high interest rate cards but that's for everyone who gets c.c for the first time even the kids u r born here.. Either call any c.c company or wait few weeks they will send u the offer in mail. In any case make sure u make wise decision, having a c.c is no big deal don't rush into things just for having a c.c. Read every fine print sentences. If u r calling, ask questions if u don't understand something don't just keep quiet make sure u know what u r getting into.. Try to get a c.c with no or minimal annual fees.. Have a friend to help u if u r not sure if u can handle the phone conversation with c.c people(trust me they hire nasty rude bitch**)
I guess pretty much that's it, I wish someone might have given me few tips when I was getting my first c.c in U.S but then again I was not familiar with YAHOO ANSWERS.....

What is Credit Card?
How much Money can they give me on Credit Card?
How can i pay back the loan?
Where can i pay it back?
Does it charge me to apply the credit card
How does Credit Card works?

I don't know much about Credit Card and i'm only 18 years old.

If you don't already know the answers to these questions, then you should NOT be applying for a credit card. You'd use it irresponsibly and not be able to pay back what you borrowed and you'd wind up ruining your credit rating.

Get a checking account with a debit card, and pay for what you need with money that you actually have. You'll be MUCH better off.

  • Apply For Credit Card-Getting Approved For A Credit Card Can Be ...

Getting approved for a credit card can be difficult without a positive credit history working in your favor. It’s a Catch-22: To obtain a credit card, you need a good credit history. But to have a good credit history, you need to establish good credit!

This no-win cycle can keep people with a non-existent, limited or negative credit history from getting approved for a credit card. But it doesn’t have to if you understand the type of credit cards available and how to build a good credit history.

When it comes to credit cards, the type of card you apply for will depend on your situation. If you’re a student, you’ll, naturally, sign up for a student card. But if you’re a non-student with a non-existent or bad credit history, a card that is secured or obtained with a co-signer may be your best option. With co-signed credit cards, the co-signer guarantees and is responsible for the debt. This means that the co-signing person is responsible for paying the full amount of the debt if the card holder doesn’t pay. In fact, when co-signed debt goes into default, three out of four times co-signers are normally asked to repay what is owed, according to the Federal Trade Commission.
