I applied for the Bank of America points credit card with access to World Points and I was wondering how you like it. Does this credit card offer a special points program in addition with World Points and it says Bank of America Rewards? Also have you found AE to be wildly accepted like VISA in the USA and abroad? What are the benefits over the VISA world points credit card in terms of acceptance. I know the AE card has travel and retail protection and the Visa WP does not have travel protection.

i know its possible but i want to know how. i currently have three credit cards, one is a Macys, one is a Bank of america student credit card and the other is an America Express card. i want to put all the balances onto my American express card. how do i do this? is it impossible now that i already have the card?
what would i need to do??
im sorry what answer??
My husband did this a few times when he had one card that had a 0% interest rate. He just called the first card and transferred the balance to the 0% card. I think you just have to give the first card the 0% card number and they will do a balance transfer. You might be able to do it on line as well.
so, i have an american express. but i need something other than that since alot of places dont take american express.. but i have no idea what kinda card to apply for. i had some Washington Mutual Visa, but the annoying thing with that was I couldn't set it up online to pay the bills and stuff b/c i dont have a wash. mutual account.
i do have my Bank of America Visa/atm card but im scared to use that as a visa b/c ill drain my bank account.
ideas/advice?
credit score is 720.
Depends on your credit score as to what you'll apply for.
what limit are you looking to recieve? Credit unions offer very high limits. Do you belong to one?
Since you bank at bank of america, have you applied with them. They merged with MBNA, so they are a huge credit card issuer now.
You also have chase and citi......
I personally would go for a card with cash back or other rewards, no annual fee and low apr.
I'll repeat the fact that answerer #1 is wrong. I used to have a standard AMEX card with annual fees and had to pay it in full each month. I never used the benefits to make it worth the annual fees so I ditched it and now how an AMEX Optima card - no annual fee and you don't have to pay it in full.
As far as credit goes, I know you want specifics but it really isn't that simple. The answerer that was turned down may have been declined because they never carried a balance which for some stupid reason made them a "higher risk" because they had not shown that they can handle paying balances over time. WHO KNOWS???
Anyway, you may have a decent score but the deficits are in areas that will get you declined... or you may have an average score and be an ideal candidate due to certain triggers AMEX is looking for.
Nonetheless, here is a page that lets you compare card offers from American Express. There's more than twenty.

If you want to narrow it down a bit by your own criteria, here is a search page at the same site... (You can also limit that search to only show you cards from AMEX.)

Good luck no matter what you decide..
