Many banks, such as Capitol One and First Premier, will issue credit cards to people with bad credit, though these cards have high rates and low ...
I tried cap. one. 1st premier they wont accept me. I have a 541 credit score. No history. I cant find anyone. I live in Colorado. Im really just trying to build my credit,.
Declined. It says insufficient Credit History
Just go to the bank and get a $500.00 secured Visa, you deposit $500.00 in a secure account to back up the credit and you have a nice credit card that can be swapped for a regular one in about a year. Keep that one with a balance always, don't buy then pay fast, banks don't like that because means no interest earnings for them. Go to www.bankofamerica.com, they are very flexible giving credit to first time costumers.
I have no interest in 1st premier, ive already went that route and did not enjoy it one bit in the terms I saw. I guess I cant be picky but if anyone knows of cards out there besides first premier for someone like me, ive fallen on hard times as most of the country has and i have a wedding coming up the 5th of september and we are running out of our savings to pay all these people. thank you very much for your help
It is not a very expensive wedding by anymeans, its the little important things that are getting hard for us, such as paying our church to marry us, etc, no frills in this wedding, so please dont think that we are going all out, we are just trying to have simple wedding. thank you very much for your help
Given the way some banks are treating their customers (canceling credit cards with no real reason other they can even with people with 700+ scores) you might want to look at a credit union.
But first you should really ask yourself if the wedding needs to be so expensive that you have to use a credit card to pay for it.
Credit card offers extreme interest rate for high-risk borrowers
People have been complaining a lot lately about higher interest rates on their credit cards.
Cards that used to be six or seven percent are now topping out at 14 percent or 18 percent.
But that's nothing compared to a new credit card offer that Goron Hageman got in the mail.
This card comes with an interest rate of not 30 percent or even 40 percent. The Mastercard offer from Premium Bank comes with a 79.9 percent interest rate!
"My first thought was it was a mistake, so I called the 800 number on the back of the offer and gave them the offer code and verified my information and sure enough, they verified it at 79.9 percent," Hageman says.
Here's the catch, though. There's nothing in the letter that tells you the interest rate. For that, you have to read the fine print.

Though Gordon acknowledges his credit “isn’t perfect, but he said it’s about average. He said the pre-approved offer didn’t mention the actual interest rate on the card..”
