Consolodate Credit Card Debt

I want to consolodate my credit card debt so I can pay it off, but dont want it to hurt my credit. I cant get a HELOC, but I need solutions....Is there a company out there that will consolodate the cards and have it not put a blemish on your credit?

My fiancé and i want to consolodate our credit card debt so are are not paying interest rates on multiple cards. We do not own a house. What is the best way to consolodate our debt? The bank said we need collateral and we have none. Any suggestions?

Don't do it. You are not married you need to keep your finances separate until married. There is no real advantage to consolidating the debt. My advice is to make minimum payments on all debts except the smallest balance card and pay as much as you can on it until it's paid off. then take that money and put it on the next smallest balance. When its paid off take that payment and pay off the smallest remaining balance. Each card paid off will make the payment on the next card that much bigger. If you can find lower interest rates it is OK to surf the debt to that card.

Second stop using credit cards and move to cash.

Since most credit cards request a monthly payment of 2% of the balance, you won't be saving anything each month by combining them. One thing to watch out for when you consolidate credit cards. There's almost always a fee for transfering a balance and it usually amounts to at least 6 months interest added to the amount you transfered.

I'm looking for a LEGITIMATE, LEGAL, and SMART way to consolodate about $8,000 in credit debt. Whats the best way? I always pay about $30-$50 above the min. payment but its not enough.

If they offer a loan that's less dear in interests than what you are paying now, it's smart.
As per legitimate and legal, well the affiliate company is part of Experian, BBB and Verisign approved so they definitely do their part in that regard.
