What is the best website for Christian debt consolidation?
Christian bank wants you to make money off the church

I have been reviewing different websites for help with my credit card debt. Because of religious beliefs I am hoping to find someone that can offer Christian debt consolidation. Does anyone know who are the best Christan debt consolidators?

I have been a reporter and author on the debt industry for over 4 years. I have reviewed several companies in regards to Christian debt consolidation as several of my readers have asked this exact question. The main thing to look for is a company that offers several options, a free consultation, and has an excellent BBB rating. I have tried over 35 different services and this one has been the best above all others:

of course poor money management is probably what caused your troubles in the first place and living hand to mouth, but thats another topic.

when religion keeps out of politics and law-making, i'll keep out of exposing religion.

i could care less if you want to believe in an imaginary sky fairy. however when you try to push people to follow you and you have no authority to back you up (religion has zero evidence to prove its claims), then you MUST be called for bs.

stop peddling your beliefs and there is no cause to challenge them.

In the first place...not just Christians have money problems.!

Second of all...you are trying to cause problems because you obviously have doubt of God ...or you would not question it. If you really believe..it is settled...you just leave it alone.

Third...if you are an athiest and you are rude and disrespectful...maybe you NEED religion to be a decent human being who does not cause problems.

Fourth.....God is not going to heal our own mistakes. Those that make mistakes have to correct them...own them and take responsibility for them. Why does everyone expect to do as they wish and then yell to God that he isn't real because he doesn't take care of YOUR mistakes?

Oh...by the way....my house is paid for..my car is paid for....I have no credit cards but one and I only use it once a year to go see my husbands mother. I use my debit card or cash and if I can't afford it....I do what we have always done...SAVE for it. Can you say the same???

Fifth.....this was a stupid question...thanks for the two points.

Not repaying credit debt...or filing bankruptcy is stealing...I believe...?

and therefore that is breaking the 10 commandments...

However, many posted Friday that this is the fault of the credit card companies and mortgage lenders for loaning to people with questionable credit....

So, is sinning justified, if other's entice us to commit it?

I still remain...that if you use a credit card...you are obligated to pay back the amount...if you take a loan etc...you should pay it back...you should not file bankruptcy...or it is stealing...if you have financial problems because of unforeseen circumstances...shouldn't the church help you with your debt...in order to keep you from sinning?

Why should it be up to the middle class consumer to have to pay more for goods and services because other's make such poor choices?

I ask this in religion...because I believe Christians should be held to a higher standard...yet the bankruptcy rate is equal among those that call themselves evangelical Christians as all others...as reported in Newsweek.
Why do Christians try to justify this sin?

Yes, I'd say it is stealing. Just because the credit card companies make it easy to acquire credit cards, and charge enormous fees doesn't make them accountable for the individual's choice to use and abuse them (free will). I do think they will be held accountable for greed and deception.
I have to say this is an area I have been guilty of a couple of times and I am a Christian. Because I believe I am responsible, I have managed to pay off my debts each time though many of my friends advised me to file bankruptcy. I just think that's wrong and I wouldn't do it. Through repentance and prayer God helped me pay it all back.
And, unforeseen circumstances do arise, but nothing is too big for God. In our town, and in our church & other organizations, we all rally around to help. That's just what folks do.
It does desturb me that debt isn't looked at as stealin by a lot of people....or perhaps they just don't think about it at all...it's easier that way. I agree that Christians should and are held to higher standard and it's something we will be judged for I'm sure(though we can't loose our salvation, we will be rewarded for the deeds done in this body, whether good or bad).
That's a good question and I'm gonna star it...It is certainly food for thought. God bless.

Who offers a unsecured loan to consolidate credit cards?

I'm talking a little over 25k. My husband and I have good credit 630's (not great, not poor-we manage). He makes 28k a year, I make 18k. We have no housing payments as we live with my parents (planning to move to rent/purchase a home in August). We have about 25k in debt (not including our vehicles) that we are looking to consolidate. Right now, we are making minimum payments on our credit cards and I feel like we will never ever be rid of them...I'm hoping that maybe someone will give us a loan around 11 percent for 12 - 24 mos. (obviously longer is okay too)...we will be able to pay more than the minimums, but we just want to be rid of it quickly. If they won't accept our credit, I will swear on my life that they will get every penny of it back -on time, monthly.
We are Christian, and a very young couple--if that helps!

Thanks so much for reading and trying to help!

Final Questions About Life?

I have asked questions before about my life and I have received little help so i am asking one final question about possible options if anyone has a serious one... I have screwed up my entire life. My relationship with my girlfriend is messy because she does not know the financial situation that I am in and we have been talking about marriage for quite a while now. I love her and don't want her to be hurt by my stupid decisions when it comes to money so I feel that I should leave her and give her a chance to find someone stable. I have battled depression/anxiety for years now. Due to that, I let myself drink away my problems instead of handling them like a man. I have managed to charge up 14,000 in credit card debt and 7 of my 8 credit cards are in collections and I can barely make enough money to pay off my debts without going to backruptcy. I fear that I am never going to get a job because of my credit report. I have been at 7 different jobs in the last year, 1 of which I was fired from due to being placed in a mental stress center and did not show up to work, and another two I did not give a two weeks notice. Since then I have work 4 jobs that I was in good standing with and two that I am currently working at as of now. I considered the military but I don't think I am because of my credit report. I think they will not allow me to enlist because of my outstanding debt. Does anyone have any help? I am a Christian man who has not heard anything back from God yet and thought I would ask if anyone has any answers until he does... I need a direction in my life and someone who might be able to point me in the right direction to start would be helpful. PS on the financial situation, dont say debt management program. its a little late for that...

Alright I will tell you this from both experience and also generally speaking that hiding things, such as your financial problems and even your depression/anxiety, will only make things worse. If you love your girlfriend and she loves you, you will get through your hardships. I think you should open up to her about your problems, and you both can decide what the best course of action is.
Talk to either a counselor, your girlfriend, or someone you trust about your problems. No, it isn't too late to learn how to deal with your debt. What you can do is file for a Chapter 13 (or 11, correct me if I'm wrong) Bankruptcy (or whatever chapter bankruptcy) , which will enable you to have "reductions" or more time to "catch up" on late payments. This will not look so great on your credit score, but nonetheless you will still be able to pay off your debts and not have to panic, thus somewhat helping your anxiety by reducing some of your stress.
As for the Christian part, although I'm not a Christian myself, I do respect your beliefs; however, you can't sit around waiting for "God" to come and save the day. You need to act now and turn your life around before things get worse. I do hope I helped out in this answer. Good luck on your endeavors :)
