Could big Corporations survive with out the average every day working person here in the USA buying?

their products ?
The American people have been strapped now for some time ( meaning several years ) with very high prices on items like home heating bills and food as well as medical Insurance rates , groceries , credit card debt , high interest rates and the worst one of all high gas prices .

Which means that Americans have had to cut back on spending on other items like Christmas gifts in general , clothing and manufactured goods like furniture, eating out at restaurants etc.

In return this puts more people out of work because the average person is not out spending money.

When will big Corporations get it ? When will they understand that WE THE PEOPLE are their bread and butter so to speak ?

If big Corporations were not around then WE THE PEOPLE would just start our own business's . And if we became too greedy then we would fall too.

I am not saying that all big corporations out in the business world are bad . Many do have integrity . But many do not . You you can tell these bad Corporations by how they do business . Such as adding on hidden costs for example .
This post is a result of Owning several small business's through out my life . It is also a result of working for other people (including big Corporations ) out in the real world .
Supply and demand .? Well it is amazing what Americans today have found that they do not need .
Thomas D I think you might be right .
Tom I think you are right too

You are correct. It is the consumer, not the business that drives the economy. Consumers would still exist without a business, a business would not exist without consumers.

what should I do during the crisis in the USA?

we are in a very bad situation right now with the economic crisis...i am really worried about it...theres been a lot of unemployment, the thing is that i have a lot of debts (credit cards, loans) that slowly i am paying off...but now employers are cuttin hours and im not getting good money...i dont know what to do...this is getting worse, there are no jobs, and the worst thing here in laredo is that everything is super expensive...you cant find an apartment under 800 and not to mentione a house (1300 per month at least) and the salary is on the floor. the average for all kinda jobs are between 8-9 per hour...how can you live making 8.00 per hour paying a 800 a month apartment, buying food, gas, etc....and besides keep paying credit cards and debts....with half of hours than you used to have in your job????....i am worried about getting fired and because of unemployment not being able to ge another job....
ok...my answer to that...i cant get a roomate cause im married, the food? i make it myself, i dont have plasma tv, nor cable....dont you get it? with 8 per hour for 40 hours is 320 - taxes, so now im at 20 hours...im not in panic...just reality....
i dont have any credit cards...theyre all closed accounts but i still need to pay them..and i cant...why you have to be so rude when all i need is a little advised??
and i vote democrat stupid

FIRST GET A GRIP. You are in a panic. LIVE YOUR LIFE FOR GOSH SAKES!

You can't change the economy.

If you need to cut cost or take a room mate DO IT and stop all the panic, my gosh. There are people who have lots less. If your area is harder to find a job MOVE!

By clothes at the second hand store (they have nice stuff). Shop smart and make all your own food. Get two jobs even part time. Get rid of the cell phone, cable tv and high speed internet. (you can always go to the library for email.)

Please my gosh you sound really silly. There are jobs out there.

Should this be two paragraphs?

Young adults make financial mistakes that take them years to recover from. For many it begins during or right after high school as credit becomes available. According to studies by the educational organization, JumpStart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy, almost one third of high school seniors report having a credit card of their own. And according to surveys conducted by Robert Manning, author of "Credit Card Nation: The Consequences of America's Addiction to Credit," the number of incoming college freshmen with credit cards tripled between 1999 and 2002. This credit card debt is at an average balance of $1,585 reports student-loan lender Nellie Mae. (http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com/Sav ingandDebt/ManageDebt/HowTeensGetSuckedI ntoCreditCardDebt.aspx?page=1) As many enter their 20’s with credit card debt, so do they often carry substantial student loan debt. Federal pell grants, often assumed to be of great financial assistance to college students, have not kept up with the rising cost of tuition, and students are turning more often to loans to obtain their higher education. According to Jim Saxton, chairman of the Joint Economic Committee Study, college tuition has not only doubled over the past 15 years, but “many education analysts believe that past legislation has not made college more affordable, it has simply made it easier to take out loans.” // On average, college graduates owe $47,503 from student loans. These student loans take years to pay off, and in the process cost individuals thousands of dollars in interest. According to Mindy Fetterman of USA Today, “This generation of twenty somethings is straining under the weight of college loans and other debt, a crushing load that separates it from every previous generation.” It seems that today’s ‘generation gap’ is more about debt than it is the ‘sex, drugs and rock-n-roll’ of previous generations and their parents. The reality for young adults is that they are at greater risk than previous generations to begin adulthood with debt.
I've already made it 2 different paragraphs THANKS

2, because you have one topic but two details

700billion for what... the bailout is now 3.8trillion! WHY?

Every one has heard about the $700billion (700 000 000 000) bail out. The other day however I read an article that this package has now turned into a $3.8trillion dollar monster! Who’s going to pay for all this? Assuming every one in this country 300 000 000 people had a mortgage of $200 000, - (US average home price = $265 000) this would equal a value of $ 60 000 000 000 000 or in a political terms a value of $60trillion! Now we all know that not every one owns a house in the US, as the 300 000 000 population is made up of every one in the US, old, young, teen, baby! So, for this calculation (to make it easy) lets say only the “young” own a house! That’s ¼ of the population or 75 000 000 people. They all have a mortgage of $200 000 which will sum up $15 000 000 000 000 or $15trillion… the USA is in dept $10trillion $10 000 000 000 000. Now we all know that only a small percentage of the population own a home! I’m just trying to understand some thing here! If the government would spend the money on the people… instead of giving it to the money pulverizing financial crisis, we would not have this problem! In other words, instead of pulverizing the money, pay off every ones 1st Mortgage, or 1st car loan/lease or highest credit card debt! My current monthly mortgage is $2600,-! (Average mortgage in the US is some where around $1600) If the government would pay for my house that I can’t sell, and they did that for every one and every one (for calculation…), 75 000 000 people, had an extra $2600 bucks in there pocket, the US economy would be looking at $195 000 000 000 bucks floating around… I mean, an extra 2.6K in my pocket a month… WOW, I’d drive a new car… hmmm, if every one got a new car, then GM, FORD, CHRYSLER and others would have to build 75 000 000 cars! FINANCIAL CRISIS??? WHAT financial crisis? PS: GM is looking to build 60 000 VOLTS (their electric hybrid) per year (if they are still around that is) in other words, it’ll take GM 1250years to build 75 000 000 volts…. I say give the money to the people and united the people will resolve the international financial crisis!
PS: these are my thoughts, not any one else’s! I just needed to write this down and see if others think the same way… if not cool! No worries!

I understand this is your opinion but this is why I feel your plan won't work.

According to you, if you received money from the government you would go out and buy a new car. Instead of taking that money and paying off your debt you would get yourself into more debt. You would anticipate the next check coming and BUY BUY BUY. This would in essence do nothing for you. Instead of actually doing something constructive with your new income you would just be digging a bigger hole.

Now take that idea and spread it out over the whole nation. Instead of solving the economy we would end up in a greater financial crisis. That is the reason this mess happened. The reason the bailout occurred was to help out companies that will stimulate the economy. Individuals really don't stimulate the economy, they make more debt.

Now you must understand, the companies may have given out bad loans and made bad financial decisions, but the individuals they lent to are the main reason the collapse occurred. If the individuals didn't overextend themselves then the domino effect would not have happened. People can't pay their loans, companies can't pay their bills, etc etc..

It it up to the people to control the government, not the government controlling people. While it may seem like a great idea for the government to give handouts you would have the government controlling your income. Look at governments where this is happending and you will see how miserable the people are. Why do you think we have an immigrant problem. People are leaving their countries to come here and have a better life where the government doesn't control them.

Do something for yourself and learn how to earn save and spend on your own. Do not expect the government to come along and bail you out everytime there is a financial problem.

Should atheists and religious work together for once?

It does not matter what religion you belong to, Or if you are not religious at all. The country is in a big mess. Big corporate own America. I read that Americans have an average of 8 credit cards. That is a life of debt. We are not the richest nation, we are the nation with the biggest debt in the world.

Nowhere else do people have more credit cards than here. Bankers are abusing the population. We spend, me included, a lot of time arguing with each other about evolution, about creationism, but we are forgetting about the land.

Jews own most of USA media and banks. Or at least they have the top jobs in this places. Not all Jews. But the problem is not who own what, but what we can do to control the situation.

Why dont we forget about our difference and concentrate on our equalities? Our enemies most of the time are those in our land.

When are we going to do something to stop these corporate from being billionaire out our money?
You should watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVkFb26u9 g8&feature=related

is very interesting and it tells you where money come from. In school they never talk about this. Lobbies keep this out of the media.
The fact that I mention Jews, is not that I blame Jews. Whoever is in top of the corporations is to blame. I does not matter if they are Christians, Jews, Catholics, Etc...

We have to do something.

Why did you even mention what "Jews own" then?

It's not just corporations vs. everyone else-- people enable and support the system as it exists, and those people, for the most part, would be Christians. Because so many Christians vote on swing "moral" issues, they propagate a system that allows for corporatism and opposes a mixed economy.

---

What do you think allows for corporate control of everything? De-regulation, corporate welfare, corporate-controlled healthcare-- those are all platforms of REPUBLICANS. There are people who vote against their own economic interests because they want to oppose gay marriage. That's why we can't all work together-- in America there is a fundamental divide. Until you can convince Christians to stop voting Republican and being so completely anti-regulation (to the point where it's pushed everything to the right), nothing is going to change.

  • Simple Ways To Consolidate Your Credit Card Debt And Get Out Of ...

The world we live in is built on instant gratification. And what better way to receive instant gratification than spending money you don’t have, using a credit card. All of this has lead to a virtual tsunami of credit card debt as more and more individuals find themselves trapped in a cycle of debt of which they can’t escape. Surveys have shown that an average family in the United States has a monthly balance of about $8000 which is made up of student loans as well as credit cards. The high rates of interest charged on such credit balances is the reason why these families have very little cash left to spend on household expenses. At the end of the day, the only thing to do for these...
